Process for parents

How AvendraLabsclasses work

From the first message to the tenth class, here is exactly what your child experiences and what you see as a parent.

1

Book a free trial class

Tell us your child's age and what they are curious about. We schedule a no-pressure trial, in person in Staten Island or online for NYC and NJ families.

2

We learn your child

During the trial, Ayven gauges your child's current level, attention style, and what excites them: games, robots, Minecraft, websites, or Python.

3

Build from day one

Every regular session starts with hands-on building. Students make real projects, debug them, and learn the concepts inside the work, not before it.

4

Track progress

Parents see session notes, finished projects, and the next learning goal inside the parent portal. No vague reports, no mystery screen time.

5

Adjust as your child grows

When a student outgrows a track, we move them up: Scratch to Python, beginner Roblox to scripted games, simple sites to full web projects.

Formats

Pick the format that fits your family

Private 1-on-1

Best for focused progress, special learning needs, or kids who want to go fast.

Small group

2 to 6 students, kept close in age and level. Great for siblings, friends, or a parent-organized cohort.

In-home Staten Island

Ayven travels to the family's home for Staten Island clients who prefer learning at home.

Online for NYC and NJ

Live video sessions with screen sharing for families outside Staten Island.

Parent questions, answered

How long is a class?

Sessions are typically 60 or 90 minutes. Most families do one class per week. Shorter sessions for very young students are available on request.

What does my child need to start?

A laptop or desktop with internet. We provide the curriculum, accounts, and project files. For LEGO Robotics, the kit is provided during in-person sessions.

What ages do you teach?

Ages 7 to 17. We match the track to the child, not the age, so a curious 8-year-old can absolutely start Python if they are ready.

Can my child switch tracks?

Yes. Many students start in Scratch or Minecraft and graduate into Python, Roblox scripting, or web development as their skills grow.
